RoboCop: Rogue City Review

Take if for what it is: 4/5 PC, 4.5 on consoles               This game you feel like RoboCop. That is mostly the review right there! However, there are some issues I had while playing the game that kept it from being a 5/5. Let’s start with all of the positives this game has going for it, which are many!               The story is awesome! It feels like it was done with the original writers of RoboCop 1 and 2 movies. You can take the story and characters and feel they are right at home in the RoboCop universe. The controls are spot on too and you feel like a walking giant stomping around the city and move like you’re about to bring scumbags to justice! The shooting is on point, and I love the few abilities you have that really make this game feel like this small developer team put all of their hearts and soul into it. It is also incredible this sm...

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Review

Take if for what it is: 4/5 A little janky and controller dead zones are being worked right now by the developer. However, if you can get by this, the game itself is amazing. I did not finish the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. back in the day but I still loved it. I went to MP gaming for a bit and never went back to it but once I saw the trailer to this game I knew I wanted to play it as soon as it was released. I knew it was going to have tons of bugs being such a large story driven open-world, but I am still enjoying it! The characters, the world, the enemies, everything in it is created and fine-tuned with a team that is passionate about the series and that they were able to finish this while being at war with Russia is just incredible. The PC edition and the Xbox edition have been running fine for me besides some performance issues which the dev has already started to fix. Again, wait to buy if you prefer to have a fully polished game or have a low-end PC since it does require...

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Take it for what it is: 4/5             I apologize, this is a longer review than my others. I will start off saying I love Dragon Age games. This one I was skeptical about. With the new art style, the story, and especially the gameplay, I was not sure. Then I started to see other reviews out there shitting on it or praising it. I decided to give it a shot and play it myself. I first picked up on Xbox and I was shocked at how much I started to like the new art style, story and game engine. I ended up picking it up on Steam too since Digital Foundry praised its optimization. Everyone is trying to compare this to BG3, which is OK, but it is a completely different type of game. BG3 is turn based D&D choose your own adventure type, this is more like the new Square’s linear Final Fantasy action RPG games. Combat is an action-focused game with spells and abilities you can choose on the fly (I play on the controller and love...

ASTRO’s Playroom Review

Take it for what it is: 5/5 This game is incredibly cool and one of the best PS5 experiences I have played so far. I know a lot of people say it is just a tech demo, or too short etc. screw them. Sorry, just my opinion, but this is a fully fleshed out game that showcases the PS5’s capabilities. First off, this game is a homage to the PlayStation’s entire ecosystem and journey through it’s life. I love all systems, Xbox, Nintendo, and PC, but I will admit, I did grow up playing PlayStation and I understood a lot of the easter eggs and references. Besides this being an advertisement for PlayStation brand and the PS5, the actual game is great. The puzzles are well thought out, flow well and really make use of the Dual Sense controller. The haptics and full effects of the controller and capabilities are showcased here. There was not a level or world I was not enjoying myself. The graphics are top notch also. Truly a great showcase of just the early stages of PS5 development. ...

Death Stranding Review

Take it for what it is: 4.5/5                 Writing another review late, but this game is amazing. It is a walking simulator where you are a UPS/USPS delivery guy. Yes, that is it. What you have seen in the game play trailers is what you get. There are some minor combat sequences and stealth action, but most of it is a walking experience.                 The story is good, but as any Kojmia game, it is weird and convoluted. Really, if you have played any Kojima game, you know what you will be getting here. The acting is amazing, the scenes are beautifully directed, and the score is amazing. When it comes to storytelling Kojima is one of my favorite game directors. Again, if you do not care for his prior games, then you will not care for this.              ...

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Review

Take it for what it is: 3.5/5             So I loved AC: Origins. I love a new take on a series and like it when developers take risks and do something different. I am actually enjoying the AC RPG trilogy and about to start Valhalla after this. I always encourage devs to take chances and try different things. This game I do however have mixed feelings on.             Most of my time, I enjoyed it. It is similar to Origins with the RPG mechanics. Way more grindy than Origins though, but I understand why because of their gear and abilities design. If you truly play this like an RPG it is not a bad experience. The gear and abilities can be tweaked to where you can feel like your character can be changed according to your playstyle.             The biggest gripe I do have with this, is the amount of quest that are...

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion Review

Take if for what it is: 4.5/5 I went into this game on Game Pass not expecting much. Really, I was tackling it for the daily achievement quest and to my surprise, I could not stop playing it until I finished the game. Yes, this is just a similar old school Zelda game. It is a cheesy story, and is pretty simple overall, but that is exactly what the creator was going for and they nailed it. The story has a lot of puns of current society and little jokes I was cracking up with. Gameplay was super smooth on Xbox (and even the other systems are good since I picked up on sale and going through now). The art style is unique with the veggies and fruits having their unique looks. The controls are not bad, but the dodge is a little wonky. You will get used to them but they feel a little awkward at first. There is one bug and flaw on Xbox which if you put it in quick resume, you will lose your inventory. I had to replay a little of the game because I went to the Xbox Home Menu and Xbox Stor...

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Review

Take if for what it is: 4.5/5 OK so yeah, I know the new one is coming out tomorrow, but screw it I am late to the party. I just finished this one (yes again the old one that everyone has played except me…). It is freaking awesome. An amazing experience that I really enjoyed. The game starts off with a nice intro and a story that pulls you in quickly. I do wish there was a bit more on some characters, but they were keeping it short and focused. It is still probably one of the best Star Wars stories since the Empire Strikes back. Again, my opinion here, I like all of the old ones and even prequels, but screw Disney’s new 7-9 which I just did not like, and the TV shows are meh. Just my opinions. Alright, enough of going off topic and those are for another day. This story is awesome, and I highly recommend just playing through Story mode if you just want to enjoy a good Star Wars story. The gameplay and graphics are also good for how old this game is. The controls work well too, and you f...

Omno Review

Take it for what it is: 5/5 An incredibly charming and cute little game. It really does feel like you are on a journey exploring a mysterious world. The creatures you interact with, the abilities you slowly acquire in each part of the game, and the companion who stays with you throughout makes this an awesome little gem. The puzzles are good, but are rather simple. There were a few that had me stumped but I am terrible at puzzles and figured it out eventually. I did play with a controller and have played on PC, Xbox, and PS and it plays great on all systems. The soundtrack is also great with awesome sound across the board. Definitely worth checking it out if any of the trailers/gameplay interested you.

The Callisto Protocol Review

Take it for what it is: 4/5  I am replaying it on PC having finished it on console. It is actually a good game and is what I expected. The melee system is a little clunky at times with multiple enemies but works well with single encounters. A little tweak like a dodge indicator for multiple enemies similar to Shadow of Mordor/War, Batman Arkham series, and other similar melee combat games and the combat would be fluid. The story, settings, art direction, and atmosphere are good. The animations are the best I have ever seen and Striking Distance truly made use of their Mo-Cap studio. This is possibly the most Next-Gen game I have played by far. People also complained it was short, but I prefer shorter, story focused games than a bunch of item collecting/filler on a large map (very few of those checklist games I even completed 100%). It took me about 11.5 hours to finish and it felt fine in length to me. I do wish it had more variety though. It was good overall but more enemy type...
