Dead Space (2008) Review

Take it for what it is: 4/5               I replayed the original to prepare for the remake and wish I’d played it at launch. It’s a strong horror game, though not quite the genre-defining masterpiece some claim. It excels in a few areas, but it also has clear shortcomings.               Visually, I’m playing in 2025–2026, so it looks dated by today’s standards. Still, for 2008/2009 the lighting and shadows did a great job selling the atmosphere. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions hold up reasonably well, but the PC version has major lighting/shadow problems. You’ll likely need mods and config tweaks to make it look and run properly on modern hardware. For the smoothest experience, play it on Xbox Series, Xbox 360, or PS3.               Story-wise, it’s solid largely because of the setti...

RoboCop: Rogue City Review

Take if for what it is: 4/5 PC, 4.5 on consoles               This game you feel like RoboCop. That is mostly the review right there! However, there are some issues I had while playing the game that kept it from being a 5/5. Let’s start with all of the positives this game has going for it, which are many!               The story is awesome! It feels like it was done with the original writers of RoboCop 1 and 2 movies. You can take the story and characters and feel they are right at home in the RoboCop universe. The controls are spot on too and you feel like a walking giant stomping around the city and move like you’re about to bring scumbags to justice! The shooting is on point, and I love the few abilities you have that really make this game feel like this small developer team put all of their hearts and soul into it. It is also incredible this sm...

ASTRO’s Playroom Review

Take it for what it is: 5/5 This game is incredibly cool and one of the best PS5 experiences I have played so far. I know a lot of people say it is just a tech demo, or too short etc. screw them. Sorry, just my opinion, but this is a fully fleshed out game that showcases the PS5’s capabilities. First off, this game is a homage to the PlayStation’s entire ecosystem and journey through it’s life. I love all systems, Xbox, Nintendo, and PC, but I will admit, I did grow up playing PlayStation and I understood a lot of the easter eggs and references. Besides this being an advertisement for PlayStation brand and the PS5, the actual game is great. The puzzles are well thought out, flow well and really make use of the Dual Sense controller. The haptics and full effects of the controller and capabilities are showcased here. There was not a level or world I was not enjoying myself. The graphics are top notch also. Truly a great showcase of just the early stages of PS5 development. ...
