Retro Bowl Review (Nintendo Switch)

Take it for what it is: 5/5                 An amazing little gem. I bought this on a whim seeing it was a football game for only 4-5 bucks. Now after a year, I still go back and play this little game.                 It is extremely simple to get into and the tutorial literally takes a couple of minutes to complete. But it does have more depth than you realize when your tweaking your team, your stadium (not the looks or anything, just boosting the numbers), and your defensive and offensive coaches. The management aspect is simple, yet your choices make an impact on your actual team performance and your gameplay changes drastically.                 The gameplay itself is simple. You can rush, scramble, bullet throw, or long pass. You can also kick and to...

The Callisto Protocol Review

Take it for what it is: 4/5  I am replaying it on PC having finished it on console. It is actually a good game and is what I expected. The melee system is a little clunky at times with multiple enemies but works well with single encounters. A little tweak like a dodge indicator for multiple enemies similar to Shadow of Mordor/War, Batman Arkham series, and other similar melee combat games and the combat would be fluid. The story, settings, art direction, and atmosphere are good. The animations are the best I have ever seen and Striking Distance truly made use of their Mo-Cap studio. This is possibly the most Next-Gen game I have played by far. People also complained it was short, but I prefer shorter, story focused games than a bunch of item collecting/filler on a large map (very few of those checklist games I even completed 100%). It took me about 11.5 hours to finish and it felt fine in length to me. I do wish it had more variety though. It was good overall but more enemy type...

Diablo III Nintendo Switch and Game Quick Review

Take it for what it is: 4/5 As always, go somewhere else you want someone to ramble on forever about how awesome things are. ·          Pros o    Gameplay : OK, if you have played every Diablo 3, nothing much new here, same amazing gameplay (after the Auction House of course). The gameplay is as smooth as any of the other consoles and PCs. o    Portable : Now you can play on the toilet. Yes, that is right, the best positive out of this thing, toilet play. That’s right you guys, you know you will do it, you know you will be slaying countless demons on your throne. Just get it for this reason at least. o    Decent Diablo 3 Skin : The switch itself has cool Diablo decals. It is not incredible, but it looks pretty cool. Again, a nice addition, if you don’t already have a Nintendo Switch and are a Diablo fan. o    You get everything : This is the complete Diablo 3 package. You get everything Diabl...

Cyberpunk 2077 Review

Take it for what it is: 3.5/5 Story 6/10 This game had so much potential. I don't want to knock on anyone, but I bought this after reading the reviews about how the story was great. It isn't good, but this is my opinion. The dialogue is cringe, and the acting is mediocre, except for select characters. There is hardly any character building before people die (I guess they did this because GoT was popular?), and story parts are out of place. It seems like they had an original story back in the day; then changed the entire script. How is it you are driving and talking on a personal level with Padre in street kid and the montage, only to be introducing yourself to him again later in the game like you never seen him before (they have patched this)? Also, the voice actor of the male V is just bad. He is different than the original voice actor we heard in the original trailers, which shows an even more convoluted story mess happened at CDPR. There are many inconsistencies with emotio...

Assassin’s Creed Origins Review

Take it for what it is: 4/5      I played this in 2020 on Xbox, in 2021 on PS, and replaying it on PC in 2022. It is an older game and plays well across all systems I have played it on. I enjoy this game, and I love the Egyptian themes.     It is a different type of AC game, though. It is an action RPG game now instead of a regular action adventure. You level up, gain abilities, and get more potent weapons and shields. Yes, there are many checklists on the map, but I mostly played through the side-quest and the main story. I did knock out quite a few map sections, but I did not do everything in the game. The combat is simple, with dodges and blocks and parries. You unlock more as you progress throughout the game, but it does not change much.     The game is not perfect, and it is not one of the best AC games ever, but a good one. Feel free to check out gameplay videos ...
