Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Review

Take if for what it is: 4.5/5 OK so yeah, I know the new one is coming out tomorrow, but screw it I am late to the party. I just finished this one (yes again the old one that everyone has played except me…). It is freaking awesome. An amazing experience that I really enjoyed. The game starts off with a nice intro and a story that pulls you in quickly. I do wish there was a bit more on some characters, but they were keeping it short and focused. It is still probably one of the best Star Wars stories since the Empire Strikes back. Again, my opinion here, I like all of the old ones and even prequels, but screw Disney’s new 7-9 which I just did not like, and the TV shows are meh. Just my opinions. Alright, enough of going off topic and those are for another day. This story is awesome, and I highly recommend just playing through Story mode if you just want to enjoy a good Star Wars story. The gameplay and graphics are also good for how old this game is. The controls work well too, and you f...

Half-Life 2: Reliving a Classic Review

PC Review (So far, have the PS3/Xbo360 will review later!) Take if for what it is: 5/5 ·    ·   Gameplay: It is still top notch and one of the best experiences I have ever had with an FPS (First Person Shooter). The controls are smooth as butter, as always for a Valve release, and the physics are amazing. Not the best of the best compared to some new titles, but overall, still an amazing experience if you are worried about how it handles. Again this is a super old game, so amazing for it’s age/during the time it came out. ·          Old school difficulty! OK, I have played on Normal and unlike new games these days, I have died a couple of times here in this game. Not overly difficult like some of the games back in the day, and I know many are going to say it is rather easy, but still, a great balance (and I suck now at games working a real J.O.B.). I say this for many games now in this generation you can push through the ent...

Chorus Review

Take it for what it is: 3.5/5 So I have beaten this game on both consoles, and I really enjoyed it. Is it astounding and incredible? No, is it a triple A blockbuster, no. However, it is a good space arcade game with an OK story. I mainly was drawn in by the trailer focusing on the game play and weird story. I try to take games for what they are and not what I want/what I believe they should be etc. This game overall is a fun 20-35 hour arcade experience that if you just sit back and relax and have fun, the weird story and game play you might find fun. Also, I will admit, it gets annoying with the encounters interrupting characters dialogue while exploring and wish they would finish dialogue before a random encounter occurs. Definitely check out some gameplay/trailers and if it interests you, you might enjoy it. An OK game overall and it plays great on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Omno Review

Take it for what it is: 5/5 An incredibly charming and cute little game. It really does feel like you are on a journey exploring a mysterious world. The creatures you interact with, the abilities you slowly acquire in each part of the game, and the companion who stays with you throughout makes this an awesome little gem. The puzzles are good, but are rather simple. There were a few that had me stumped but I am terrible at puzzles and figured it out eventually. I did play with a controller and have played on PC, Xbox, and PS and it plays great on all systems. The soundtrack is also great with awesome sound across the board. Definitely worth checking it out if any of the trailers/gameplay interested you.

Vampire Survivors Review

Take if for what it is: 5/5 Ummm this game is soo damn addictive I hate it and love it at the same time. I have played a lot..... too much I will admit on Xbox and now I re-purchased it again on Steam. I think meth might be easier to break the addiction.... The game is so simple, yet has quite a bit of strategy involved if you want to max out your play throughs. Multiple characters with different skill sets and tons of unlocks and secretes. Again, you should think about starting meth instead since you can at least live in the real world.

Civilization V Review

Take if for what it is: 5/5 So if your one of those people who are like “just one more turn, just one more and that’s it” and you also wish to start a real life, like go out in the real world, find a significant other, have kids, get a job, etc….. just go do cocaine. Literally, this game is crack. I have not even gotten more than 1-2 hours in Civ VI because I am still stuck in this game building my US empire and ensuring world domination (also, screw Gandhi for wanting to nuke me!). Overall, take it for what it is, as another turn based 4X game that makes you wonder if starting a cocaine habit would be a better fit for your real-world life……

Surviving the Aftermath Review

Take if for what it is: 4.5/5 Overall, if you have played a paradox building type of game (Surviving Mars, Cities Skylines, etc) then you will be somewhat familiar with this one. It is their take on surviving the apocalypse with the mechanics/gameplay of Cities Skylines. It is simple to pick up and has enough depth to keep you busy for learning/mastering it. There are many types of buildings to construct, a large map to explore, and interactive enemies and random events to make decisions on. The game also has random apocalyptic events like meteorites, plague, ice storms and others. I also love the controller layouts of Paradox games. I mostly play with the controller with it being more comfortable and ergonomic, but the keyboard and mouse work great too. Always amazing controls with the controller on Paradox games where after an hour or so it will be effortless. The only thing I would recommend would be better graphics, more variety of animations, building designs, and a f...
